- Description
Knackebrot, which is still made to this day is a dry crisp bread / rye bread. Think of Ryvita and your about right.
In WW2 this was issued to troops packed for the cold ration / iron ration when a field kitchen wasnt possible.
There would have been 8 pieces packed in a box and you can shorten modern equivalents to suit. This would have then been carried in the bread bag or backpack on the soldier.
This wrapper would have wrapped the breads inside the seperately listed Knacebrot box. So you can use this individually or create a full outer.
